OKTOBERFEST 2007 Saturday September 29 to Monday October 1.
Fairfield Showgrownd, Smithfield Road, Prairiewood.
SATURDAY 11.00am - 12.00pm
SUNDAY 11.00am - 10.00pm
MONDAY 11.00am - 6.00pm

Adults $15
Children over 12 and Pensioners $10
Children under 12 FREE
Free shuttle buses from Fairfield and Cabramatta train stations to and from the Showground on all 3 days. Plus free carparking at the Showground.
Security guards will be on hand to ensure it is a happy and safe family event.

FAIRFIELD Showground, in Sydney Australia, will again be transformed into a mini Germany when Oktoberfest comes to town.

Past years have attracted crowds of up to 30,000 people and weather won't be a problem as there is on-site cover for at least 8,000 revellers. folk dancing and exhibit-ions, while international foods will include brat-wurst, gelato, potato pan-cakes, ginger hearts, weisswurst, pork knuck-les and smoked fish.

The 38th Oktoberfest will officially open on Saturday, September 29th when German-Austrian club president, Walter Schmied taps the first barrel of beer at 4.30pm.

"Ozapft is (it's tapped)," he cries.

Oh! and we mustn't forget the beer. What would The Original Fairfield Oktoberfest be without mentioning the beer - only the best beers in the world in our beautiful Souvenir Steins. Or perhaps you may prefer our famous Apple Schnapps. Either way you can drink and be merry.

Fairfield City residents will be joined by thousands of visitors from across Australia and around the globe for the annual family festival. The motto for Oktoberfest is live and let live. Eat and Drink Well. This year's entertainment will include German bands, brass bands merry-go-rounds,

Who is going???? I'm going on the sunday night - it should be a great time and tis always fun in the previous years i have gone so come on gals and lets all have a gay old time at oktoberfest!!!
